FIORI listing of reports

Hi All,

We are thinking of re-building some BW reports in FIORI using CDS views. Since we want to avoid issuing a individual FIORI tile for each report, is there a process documented on ways to group list of reports based on department or category? 

For e.g. a folder structure like

Finance>P&L> (all the list of reports - standard and custom made for FIORI reporting. So no FIORI tiles for reports , just a location where end user will get a report inventory list that shows all titles of reports that can be clicked to render the report.) 

the list of reports should,

1. be dynamic i.e.. should only list reports that are relevant for a particular user. (not only access/authorization but also irrelevant reports should not be visible).

2. Reports should open in browser on clicking the title. (similar to what happens in SAP Analytics cloud).

The reason we don't want to use SAC here , is that these reports are all tabular (originally BEx tabular only reports, no charts)

After researching a bit more about CDS views, it looks to me as if you need to make a custom report for each category and put those "general reports" in a tile which you then put in a role and group then with Tile groups. Each report has a treeview or ALV grid which (when doubleclicked) does a SELECT on the CDS View and displays the data in a ALV. You can handle this with Dynpro. Woud be my approach. But I admit, there could be better ones 😉
