Fiori Launchpad language settings revert to default

When we set the product locale and the preferred viewing language, after a check the settings are properly saved initially, but after some actions,( in our case working with publications,) this setting gets reverted to the default setting; the browser locale.

Hello,

For S/4Hana lower than 2020

The Fiori language is set on log in and can only be changed there. Language needs to be set on inital load and cannot be changed after the page is already loaded due to architecture contraints.

For S/4Hana 2020 or higher

1. Go to transaction /n/UI2/FLP_CUS_CONF

2. Set parameter USERSETTINGS_SET_LANGUAGE to 'true' (small letters)

Thank you for the answer, but in our case, we do not use S/4Hana at our company, but BO/BI platform on postgres.
A case was logged with SAP, who could reproduce the bug and they said that they are working on it to fix the issue, no workaround provided yet. Since we do not know for every user which is their preferred viewing language or product language, we cannot set it by default. The default language returned by browser/OS is not always the proper one.
