Hi folks,
We have a scenario with 2 abap servers (say, A & B, both on Fiori 2.0), each with its own Fiori Launchpad (say, FLP-A and FLP-B) and Fiori Apps. From FLP-A, we would now like to launch a normal Fiori App-B that is present in server B, so that the App-B launches within FLP-A context / same browser tab. Is this possible ?
We have seen that if we define the navigation as URL navigation (as opposed to Fiori App navigation), App-B is launched successfully from FLP-A, but in a separate browser tab.
We have also tried to define a Remote Catalog-A in FLP-A that maps to catalog-B in FLP-B that contains the Tile (App-B) which we are trying to launch from FLP-A. Hope was this approach would launch App-B within FLP-A's tab / context. Unfortunately, catalog-A shows catalog-B's tiles, but each with a label "Error loading tile", and browser console gives error message "Remote catalog did not deliver CHIP". I have read in Notes 2621907 & 2390564 that Remote Catalogs are only supported for some Jam and Smart Business applications integrations. Has anyone run into this restriction with regard to using Remote Catalog ? Any other strategy to launch App-B from FLP-A wthin same tab / context (i.e. not separate browser tab) ?
Thanks for any inputs. Much appreciated.
Jay.
