Hello SAP Analytics Cloud experts
I have a story based data model containing 10 measures and 23 dimensions. It currently has 755,049 rows loaded in the model. So it seems to me that it is not an excessively large model. The story goes like this:
What is happening is that they have created a story where a calculated dimension has been added which, I believe, is causing erratic behavior when it is filtered.
The calculated dimension is of type Measure-Based Dimension and groups a measure called RE_TC in this way:
The calculated dimension works correctly, in fact, adding a chart with that calculated dimension shows it well:
However, I want to apply a filter to this dimension to exclude NULL data (which in the chart is the last bar on the right with value 42). When I do this, sometimes it works, removing the value I don't want:
But usually, after a while it doesn't work for me and the filter I use (which is independent of whether I do it at the story, page or chart level) gives me an error like the following:
"Filter unavailable
This filter is no longer usable because the data source, dimension, selected hierarchy or custom group no longer exists: the dimension has a missing required hierarchy, or the dimension type has changed"
I also think it is important to comment that sometimes it allows me to save and other times it stays loading like that until I have to reload the page and lose the changes:
At other times, the story is partially loaded without displaying the graphics or taking many minutes to display them:
What is going wrong and why is the story running so poorly? What can I do to fix it?
Thank you very much for your help!
