Hi all
We are working on Production system.
I know that we need to block user postings while filling setup tables for MM.
Do we have to block User postings during FI data extraction?
If so when?
THanks,
Harika.
Hi,
No need for downtime in FI as it is timestamp based.
Kindly have a look at below link,
Hope this helps.

Mani

Hi Harika,
There is no down time required for FI data sources.
FI data sources are "pull based", meaning, that the delta mechanism is based on a time stamp in the source table and data is pulled from these tables into the RSA7 queue.
There is no concept of delta queue or set up tables for FI data sources and therefore no downtime is required.
Changes can be moved and delta will run after that without any issues.
Hope this helps.

There is no need of to lock User in R3 side for FI extraction, Only you have start extraction in night time or when load on R3 is minimum
