Hi,

Today I configured FLP for new SAP S/4 HANA 2023. And when I try to add catalogs from App Finder--Catalog tab, the error message 'Failed to load catalogs' pops up, and in this case it's always in loading status. How can I fix this issue:

I recently faced the same issue with the error "Failed to load catalogs" on the App Finder page in the Fiori Launchpad (FLP). In my case, the root cause was that the user was missing a basic Fiori authorization role.

I followed the steps below to resolve it

  • Go to transaction SU01
  • Enter the affected user ID
  • Switch to the Roles tab
  • Add the role Z_FIORI_FOUNDATION_USER

Save the changes and ask the user to log out and log back in (if needed).

For others trying to resolve a similar error please check /IWFND/ERROR_LOG in the backend system for any authorization errors especially related to the services mentioned in the KBA - 2582799 - Tiles not displayed in the Fiori Launchpad Homepage or in the App Finder. Also, ensure that the services are active as the KBA suggests.

  • /UI2/PAGE_BUILDER_CONF
  • /UI2/PAGE_BUILDER_PERS
  • /UI2/PAGE_BUILDER_CUST
  • /UI2/INTEROP
  • /UI2/TRANSPORT
