Happy Monday Experts. I am working on an automation that will auto-approve invoices using a document template. I have create a 'skeleton' so to say. My current setup extracts fields at a Header field. But I need assistance with extracting field at a line item level. Basically I need a clarity on the approach, because various invoices have varying numbers of line items.
Therefore, I would to know if I show create line for the empty fields, that way it would return details should that space been populate and return blank if the fields are empty.

You are on the right direction! My personal approach on this would be:
1. Create a document template (in which you have already shown)
2. Select the appropriate document type (invoice, po, payment,receipt). In this way you'll automatically have the necessary schema and fields that you wanted to extract. ( I prefer to use the existing and perform the annotation on #3)
3. As soon you select the schema, you can custom the outputs you wanted to extract. At the same time you train on what fields will be extracted.
4. Technically speaking, you do not need to select all line items in able for DocX to extract everything. Its intelligent to assume where is the starting line item and the last item.
5. The lineItems will become a List may contain a blank lineitem data in the event there was a blank data.
