Extension Field Dropdown on System Form

I have created an Extension Field which is a CodeList type. I have created using a BCO because I need the users to be able to modify the list.

It works and I can see it in fine tuning and modify the values etc...

However, when I add the Extension Field to a system form (in this case Site Logistics Confirmation) it appears and shows a drop-down but the drop-down only shows the codes (not the descriptions).

What's more it shows codes as <1>, <2>, <3> etc...

This is making me thing I've missed something but I have search long and hard to find the answer but cannot.

Is there something I need to do to make the dropdown show the description values instead of just the code in <> characters?

Hi,

There are 2 things which could help.

1. Pls check if you have chosen field type as "Description" when creating the BCO or not? Same has also been explained in https://apps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/en/2477435

2. If you want to see the Description of the BCO code in form then by standard behaviour you will always see the code in forms but SAP has proposed a custom solution to get around this topic using "Transient" field as mentioned in SAP KBA: https://apps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/en/2814286
