Hello,
what would be the best way to expose a table as Odata service as it could be consumed for CRUD operations from another sub account.
Do we still need to take the approach of creating a CDS view on top of it and expose it using service binding ?

yes, creating a CDS view on top of your table is the recommended approach. This helps to keep your API stable.
The service binding could then be classified as OData Web API service.
