Executing desktop automation for multiple users

Hi,

Customer wants to deploy some standard automations - eg: 4FP (Post goods movement) for S/4Hana Cloud. This automation expects data to be maintained in excel sheet on the user's system and a trigger scheduled along with desktop agent configured to pick and execute the automation. The file location and communication user/password for S4HC are entered while deploying the project,

For such automations, if there are multiple users who would want to use this automation, what is the technical approach to be given to users?

1. We cannot have a common trigger to execute for multiple users. So, should each user have a project deployed on his/her name and a trigger per project?

2. I don't think it's possible, but can we have multiple versions of the same project and for each version,  a trigger?

3. Can these automations read a file from shared folder/drive/sharepoint or does it mean, we need to customize the automation?

Hello Indhu,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I recommend saving the Excel file in a shared location and configuring the agent attribute accordingly. This should work for your use case.

If you encounter any further issues or need clarification, please share the details, and we will investigate further.
