Hello Experts,

We are trying to deploy SAP Service and Asset Manager 2505. The initial deployment was successful however, after scanning the application QR code, the App Update fails when the user selects “Update” in the popup

We found the related SAP KBA for this issue: https://me.sap.com/notes/0003665935
.

After following the steps mentioned in the note we encountered a new error during deployment. I have attached a screenshot for your reference.

How can I resolve this issue? Could you please provide some insights or suggestions on this?

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards,
Kingston A.

There is a typo in that note.  The install command is missing the -g argument.  I will let the processor know and get that corrected.  In the meantime, you will need to delete the node_modules folder from your project and reinstall using the following command.

npm i @SAP/mdk-tools -g

You should also delete the SIGNATURE.SMF file as well.  Then try your deploy again and let us know if that fixes the issue.

Thanks,

--Bill
