Error opening Guided Development in VSCode

Hi,

I have multiple projects in the same "folder" and all of them show 'Green' status.  For one of them when I open the Guided Development it gives me below error:

 "Module '@sap/ux-specification' not installed in project.

But I have it installed and I see the green status.

NPM version 10.9

node.js version v20.18.0

SAP Fiori Tools - Guided Development version 1.51.1

I have these under Status of the application.

Latest version of node module '@sap/ux-specification@1.124.2' installed.
Latest version of node module '@sap/ux-ui5-tooling@1.15.1' installed.
Latest version of node module '@sap-ux/ui5-middleware-fe-mockserver@2.2.66' installed.

I ended up deleting and reinstalling VS Code completely. Seems to be working for now.

Hello Rutul,

I tried to reproduce your issue with one of our test projects that also comprises several apps, but did not succeed. In my case (VS Code 1.94.0) no error occurred. I could open Guided Help for all projects. Also switched one of them to UI5 1.124 so that I get ux-specification 1.124.2 - no problem either.
Thus it seems to be a special problem of your project constellation. 
Could you please open a Service Now ticket, comprising your archived project?

Hi - Even for the projects where it opens the Guided Development, the Preview application doesn't work. It ends with below errors:

Preview app also has error: node:internal/modules/cjs/loader:1228 throw err; Error: Cannot find module './db.json'

Hi - As mentioned yesterday, I cannot reproduce your symptoms with our own test projects, thus I guess it is a problem of your special constellation, and would need access to your project to find out. You can open a ticket on component CA-UX-IDE, this would be best.
