Error on opening Fiori Launchpad in the Hana Cloud Platform "Unable to load groups"

Hi,

I've seen that there is now a trial version of the Fiori Launchpad in the Hana Cloud Platform (Trial Version).

After subscribing and activating the Launchpad, I've clicked on the url to open the Launchpad.

But then an error occurs "Unable to load goups".

The urls I've tried are:

https://flpportal-<account>.dispatcher.hanatrial.ondemand.com/sap/hana/uis/clients/ushell-app/shells...

and

https://flpportal-<account>.dispatcher.hanatrial.ondemand.com/sap/hana/uis/clients/ushell-app/shells...

Has somebody a hint for me or can tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Hi Alexander,

I receive the same when I try, reason being it is not fully available in the trial. The blog

mentions FLP and confirms that it is not available yet. If you read the directions detailed by Inbal and reference the help documentation you will notice that you don't have the option in the trial to accomplish the steps. Regardless, I would recommend reading the SAP HANA Cloud Portal Documentation so that if it becomes a feature in the trial or you decide to subscribe you'll be ahead of the game

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Hi Alexander,

I wanted to follow up and let you know that the Fiori launchpad is now available in the trial. Take a look at this blog for some details. Let me know if you run into any issues.

I am using the openSAP Sp09 version of the HANA developer instance on CAL and get the unable to load groups error when trying to complete the Create Fiori Launchpad exercise. Do you know if this is something that I can get around or is it simply not available as per your explanation for the earlier version of the trial ERP instance?

Hi Ross,

I was having a similar issue (i.e. same error), but it was caused by a different problem. There maybe some overlap. I have since resolved my issue and might be able to lend a hand to yours. Is it the case that you've now create a new Fiori AppSite in your trial instance, and are trying to access it via. FioriLaunchpad.html?

Let me know and I can suggest a solution (if our problems are indeed similar).

Cheers,

Hagen
