Error message in Sybase Central when comparing databases

I'm trying to compare the structure of two databases using "Tools » SQL Anywhere 12 » Compare Databases". But regardless what databases I select, every attempt fails with the same error message (Show Details only repeats the same message text):

I'm using SA 12.0.1.3769, SC 6.1.0.6441. Any ideas how to work around the error?

Applying the latest EBF 12.0.1.3851 seems to fix that: the error did not reappear
