Error activating Business Content Sales Analysis in SAP Datasphere

Hi community,

we would like to activate the SAP Datasphere Business Content Sales Analysis (Version 1.2.0) but at the time of importing the analytic model we get the following system failure message:

We couldn’t save your object SAP_SD_RL_SalesDocumentItem_V2 because it’s dependent on missing objects:
SAP.TIME.VIEW_DIMENSION_DAY#_DAY_OF_W_SAP.
Create or import the missing objects first, and then reimport your package.

Within the space SAP_CONTENT we already activated the time dimension and checked SAP.TIME.VIEW_DIMENSION_DAY but we could not create or import _DAY_OF_W_SAP as attribute or assoziation. Also we could not get more information to the item _DAY_OF_W_SAP.

Does anyone know more about _DAY_OF_W_SAP and the way how to import or create?

Best regards
Christian

Hello,

Although SAP advised me to download the latest version, I was unable to fully download the content. I had two tenants—DEV and PRD. When I downloaded the content in DEV, all objects were visible. However, in PRD, not all objects were successfully downloaded.

To resolve this, I downloaded the content, manually transported the missing objects and models, and then downloaded the tables. This approach worked well for both tenants.

I hope this information is helpful.

Thanks ElsaZam for sharing this information and good to understand that you solved the issue on your PRD instance helping yourself. We have also just released the version 1.3.0 of this package. If doable please try to install this one and let us know if this version may fix the issue you observed in your PRD instance. If it still fails with 1.3.0, could you please share the error raised in PRD with us sending a mail with the screenshot and details to content.sapdatasphere@sap.com for furher analysis?

Hello Guido,

we have the next error with version 1.3.0:

And this is our Datasphere release:

Do you think we should open an incident?

Thank you.

seems exactly as the error with 1.2 version :). Are you sure, you downloaded the 1.3 version?

We opened an incident at SAP at 21.08, the development support is still investigating the issue.

Version 1.2.1 was released, which is supposed to fix the error.

But unfortunately, we are now seeing an other error:
"Couldn't import object 'SAP_GEN_HL_DateGridText [SAP_CONTENT\SAP_GEN_HL_DateGridText]' : statusNotAcceptedForRepoHttpClient: Status 500 is not accepted: tempItem.indexOf is not a function"

Does 1.2.1 work for you?

I tried to import 1.2.1 but it doesn't work. We had a generic error (the import failed and did not even start). Let me know if it works for you.

The issue was resolved with the new Datasphere release 2024.21, the import now worked for us

Hello, we have the same error with version 1.3.0

This is the message when we do the import:

No se ha podido importar el objeto "SAP_SD_RL_SalesDocumentItem_V2 [SAP_CONTENT\SAP_SD_RL_SalesDocumentItem_V2]": We couldn’t save your object SAP_SD_RL_SalesDocumentItem_V2 because it’s dependent on missing objects: SAP.TIME.VIEW_DIMENSION_DAY#_DAY_OF_W_SAP. Hello Guido, the same issue exists in the SCM package. Is there a package update for this available as well?

Hi all,

we are facing the same problem..it looks like a bug of the import package since the field name in the SAP Time view cannot be edited. If we don't figure out any solutions, we will open an incident to SAP.

Thanks a lot

Best regards

Francesco

You need to have the time dimension available in the space you are activating the content.

Go to the Space administration -> Time -> generate time dimensions

We are facing the same problem.

time dimensions are generated, but apperently they are missing the field "DAY_OF_W_SAP" in the following View: SAP.TIME.VIEW_DIMENSION_DAY
Error Message:

NicolasMartinez_0-1724053517852.png

We already tried recreating the time dimensions - without success.
This is what the view looks like for us, the field "DAY_OF_W_SAP" is not available.

I see. So the problem is not in missing time-tables, but in missing field day of week. Re-creating of the time-tables will not help Nicolas (background script) and you cannot alter the views. I guess OSS-Incident / Call is needed to ask for the change of the script.
