Hi,
I have lost the admin access as well as the portal users acess to the EP5 SP2 system due to some system configuration error. Hence, I am unable to login to EP5 SP2 and the IIS Server hangs and cannot be stopped manually.
Is there any method/config file that can be changed where we can reset to old configurations.
All users are maintained within the LDAP Corporate Directory.
As this is a critical issue will appreciate any quick response.
Thanks for all your help in advance.
Best regards,
Divya Rao
You can revert the usermanagement configuration by implementing Note 588274: (quoted from this note)
<i>1. in any case, it is best to backup the original registry branch for default User Management configuration before using the Password restore utility.
go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAPPORTALS\UserManagement\Configurations\.., and rename the default configuration branch to 'Default.original' .
2. run the PasswordRestore.exe from ..\<Enterprise Portal inst folder>\Tools\PasswordRestore.exe
3. insert the NT user details, including domain name in front of the user name (for example: <domain_name>\<user_name> ), and password.
4. click the 'Restore Default Configuration' button.
5. refresh the registry, and check that a new Default branch is created.
6. check whether the project sapportal is set to Default (addjust if necessary)
7. restart the IIS, and login to the Portal using admin/admin.</i>
Goodluck.
