Enterprise Portal System Refresh in Oracle RAC environment

Hi,

We are in the process to DB refresh of SAP Portal 7.50 from SAP Portal QA (EPQ) to SAP Portal Sandbox server (PPS).

SAP Portal Java application for PPS is installed in cbsepsci1 server and database is installed in Oracle RAC (server name sap-s-rac-1).

I used the "Export" process using tool sapinst (in SWPM). Export dump for EPQ Database worked. But when i'm using sapinst in cbsepsci1 to import EPQ DB dump in PPS database, process is not able to find oracle RAC server (sap-s-rac-1) to import the DB dump. Process is only showing local server cbsepsci1.

Pls suggest how to fix this issue.

Thanks
Amar

Hi Amar

Thanks for your information.

1. During the import action have you selected the distributed system?

2. Is this an error message in the SWPM Process?

3. Refer to the SAP Note 1738258 for Oracle DB refresh

Hi Amar.

1. Why you are using the SAPINST? try to use the same SWPM for import action.

2. During the import action, the Java backend system pointed to a new ABAP system or still an old one?

3. Before that have gone thru the SAP system copy guide for Oracle DB?

Thanks for reply, Sriram.

- We are using following command to start the system refresh process:

$ sudo /usr/sap/SWPM/sapinst (sapinst is the part of SWPM).

- Import process is not able to find the the SAP RAC system. DB is in RAC.

- We have done the SAP java refresh in Local server where SAP java Instance and DB are in same host.

Trying first time to import DB in oracle RAC server.

Thanks

Amar
