Enable to create input parameters in Bex query having external HANA view enabled

Source : Existing Architected DML ADSO 

Objects which are created from bottom to top approach: Class -> table function (CDS) -> CDS -> HANA Calc. View -> CP (External HANA View enabled) -> Bex query (External HANA view enabled) -> will consume this Bex query hana view in Tableau.

Implementation: We have created one class which includes some business logic by considering this existing DML ADSO. We have also defined input parameters at class level. Further , we have created one table function (CDS) by considering all necessary fields along with input parameters. the same has been considered till CP level as per above mentioned approach.

Issue:We have created bex query(Enabling External HANA view) on top of CP and also created input paramters for the same fields which are defined from class object. While activating/saving the bex query we are getting an issue as : External SAP HANA view: InfoProvider parameter VXXXXXXX-IP_CALENDAR not supported in filter. But when the External HANA view is unchecked for the same at that point of time its saving/activating successfully.

Queries from my end: 1) Is it some kind of limitation of this BW4HANA tool ?

2) Have anyone faced similar kind of issue which was later resolved ? If yes, then whats the workaround?

3) Are there any SAP Note which we need to implement to overcome this issue?

Hello @ankit_vaidya26 ... just to make sure, we are on the same page ...

Have you created infoobjects for the characteristic in the Composite Provider which reflects your parameter?

I assume 0CALYEAR (or any ZCALYEAR) should be used with a variable in the Bex query for being able to input the parameter.
