Enable Joule for on-prem ABAP Development

Can Joule be enabled for on-prem ADT ABAP project development for AI Coding Assistance? We are running the newest available version of on-premise S/4 HANA (2023 FSP02 instance). The AI Core set-up guide & Launchpad provisioning guide are a great start but I am missing how the on-premise system enables Joule after the cloud connector is established. 

SAP Note 3513374 mentions the possibility to integrate with SAP_BASIS 756 and up. However, after setting up AI Core and Launchpad - I cannot locate any documentation on how to complete the integration for on-prem systems. 

Our objective is to have Joule enabled from our ADT development environment. Joule is currently not recognized as enabled.

The Generative AI in ABAP Cloud Docs only mention validity for Public Cloud & BTP ABAP. Subsequent guides require establishing communication system and communication arrangement configuration, which I do not think that our on-prem system has the ability to configure.

Did you take a closer look at zjoule? It seems to be an Eclipse plugin making use of Joule being installed in a BTP account. As we are not entitled to "das-application" (sic, that's what SAP calls the ai core service on BTP), i can not test it.

@Robert_Schulte first time looking at the zJoule project, looks really interesting. I'm not sure about connecting independent open source projects like this to our SAP environment though.

Just a single step is missing: wait for SAP to provide new features for customer running on-premise systems. We can pray meanwhile.

I submitted a support case to SAP that references this post to find out if this is really the current situation. Everything about "3513374 - Generative Artificial Intelligence Software Development Kit for On-Premise release" makes it seem like we should be able to integrate our on-prem systems.
