DTP never finishes

Hello all,

I have the following problem: After successfully loading the 0MATERIAL infopackage, it then triggers a DTP (FULL) which is a self update of 0MATERIAL_ATTR. I have already tried pretty much everything I could think of:

1) Created a new DTP --> Unfortunately the same result.

2) Activated everything again by --> Unfortunately the same result

3) Checked lock entries

4) Since these are actually in a process chain, I also tried to separate these steps to exclude that upstream jobs cause the problem (locks).

The BW system is in Azure since the end of this year. What is funny is that the same DTP works in the development system as well as in the production system without any problems. Only the quality system is the problem. Attached is a screenshot of the DTP running and a screenshot from the SM50.
(This problem occures only on that and a other DTP)

Thanks for your help!

Best regards,

Alex

Hello,

i have tried some steps from you but nothing changed. When i start the DTP and go to SM37 to the job log, the DTP is stuck at the extraction of data package 1. That makes no sense for me..

Also in SM21 i constantly get many errors like:

Could that be a reason for the strange behavior? But if so, shoudln't the other DTPs also not working?

Hi Alexander,

Is the state of the job change over time or is it stucked on a SQL statement ?

If stucked, identify the concerned SQL statement. You should have at least the table in the SM50 and you could have the complete SQL statement in the transaction DB02.

Then you will have to understand why the behavior is different between your systems : check the volume of the concerned tables on each system, the index on these tables or, depending on your db, the db statistics.

It depends on the DB but on mine (Hana) it's under Performance/Threads.

You should then have a button : Statement string.
