Dear Team,
We have a PRD cluster system in DRC which is running on Oracle 11g and RHEL 7.5
Recently the DB listener was getting stopped repeatedly and the team had to manually start it again and again and later the system crashed in which our below shared filesystems between node 1 and node 2 related to SAP and Oracle crashed.
/usr/sap
/sapmnt
/oracle
/oracle/PRD
Node 1 is not going on up mode and node 2 showing only Linux OS filesystem.
After this issue the infra team called RHEL support. The RHEL support team is suggesting that the file system crashed because the listener stopped.
Due to crashing of oracle filesystem, we are unable to check the alert logs. We tried to reproduce the issue on a testing standalone system where we stopped the application, database and listener for 3 days which had not adverse impact on the filesystem and our SAP application and database is smoothly running on testing standalone system.
We need your input whether is it possible for a file system to crash due to stopped listener.
Regards,
BASIS Team
