HI All,
I came to know there is an option to view a Bex Report in "Query View" where in the User can change the dimensions of the report to get a desired output dynamically and the Base report is not modified in the process...
Is there a way that i can achieve this in BO??? as we wont be giving the 'edit' access to the User, is there a possibility that he can modify the report by changing the dimensions??
If Yes, Please let me know the possible way to achieve this...
Thanks & Regards,
NRR

You can have the users open the WEBI report in an interactive mode. In this mode, users can drag and drop dimensions, and do quite a few other interactivity. Also you can control each interactivity option by giving the appropriate access rights with WEBI application. The users do not require 'Edit' access to be in this mode.
As David has mentioned, they can then save the report in their personal folders.
To have the report open in interactive mode, users need to set it in preferences. In Preferences -> WEBI, under 'Select a default view format:' choose 'Interactive'.
Hope this helps!

In BOBJ, all users have a personal folder. If I understand your question correctly, you should instruct your users that they can edit the report as they please and save a copy to their personal folder. This will not affect the base report.
