Everyone,
I've a requirement to download bulk Webi instances (150 each from 10-15 Webi reports) in excel or pdf format. How can we do this using Java SDK, any idea?
Thanks,
Mohammed

Hi dell.stinnett-christy,
Appreciate the quick response!
We're using BO Version 4.2 SP7 Patch 7, and about the reports/instances, we've a requirement with all 3 scenarios, we've instances in Excel, PDF, and there are a lot of reports where instances are in Webi, and we need to convert them to Excel/PDF and then save those files.
It'd be ideal if you have some code handy, or if you could point me to a step by step blog post, as I'm not a Java Programmer and haven't worked with RESTful Web Service SDK.
Thanks,
Mohammed

I have some old C# code that does some of this for Crystal reports, but nothing in Java right now. However, I should be able to provide some basics for getting the files that are already in PDF or XLS/XLSX format with code samples. The challenge is going to be code to open and convert the .WID files from Webi. What format do you want those in or how will you determine which format to export them to?
I'm pretty busy with client work and facilitating internal training until Friday, but I'll see what I can come up with for you.
