Hi,
We ended the maintenance of our SAP products at the end of 2023. But today we need to download software related to them, released prior to that date. We understood we were going to be entitled to still download it ( we have the permanent licenses of those products ). But it seems imposible to get a temporary access for that task. Can it be done? How is the process? did anyone faced a similar situation?
Here the statement received last year from SAP:
Customer cannot download SW in the Software Download Center which is not covered by maintenance. Block of partial terminations possible.
If software was released before the termination, the customer is entitled to get the software after maintenance end -> SAP provides temporary access to SW downloads.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Sanz,
You may have to contact SAP to renew the support contract along with SAP Software Download, because during the upgrade time, you may require SAP support to download some of the patches and SAP bug note fixes.

Thanks for the answer, if we restart the support we will get the right to download the software. But the question is that if we have a perpetual license, should not be allowed to download it? including the patches till the moment we stopped the maintenance? As commented we are entitled to do it, but seems impossible to get a clear answer from SAP
