Download File from Solution Documentation 7.2 in PDF Format

I have a validation requirement to download files from Solution Documentation in a PDF format.  What is the best way to download a file from Solution Documentation in Solution Manager 7.2 in the PDF format?  The current download process or print content process only allows for downloading as an MS Word file.
