Request clarification before answering.
The HANA DB isn't licensed and refuses connecting. The message is on the "dev_w0.txt" file:
C database user=SAPHANADB C connection id=302615 C *** ERROR => execute(), rc=1, rcSQL=437 [dbsdbsql.cpp 850] C SQLCODE : 437 C SQLERRTEXT : only commands for license handling are allowed in current state
You need to go to SAP PORTAL and register the HANA system in order to obtain the license.

What exactly do I have to license, I have already licensed my SAP S/4 HANA 2023 system. The key is also valid until 04.02.2025.
Do I also have to license the HANA DB? If so, how exactly do I do that?
I cannot find a suitable description for an S/4 HANA DB in the SAP Portal under request license key.
The system is on-premise.

I have already looked at the SAP-Note you linked. I have the following issue. I already generate a license key for my S/4 HANA DB. Just like in the note I added the database as a new system. But the problem I have now is, I somehow do not have any fitting license types

When you added the new system (HANADB SID) you should choose "SAP HANA, platform edition" as the product name, otherwise you won't see the proper license option.
Also, you need to have purchased the license to use SAP HANA DB, and that license is properly assigned to the contract were you are registering the system.
