Disable HTTP in Solution Manager

Hi SAP,

Due to security concerns we want to disable HTTP completely in our SAP Solution Manager system. Whereas we found a note 2952317 indicating this is not possible.

Point 4. Even if you are using HTTPS protocol, the ABAP stack must know the HTTP protocol as well.

Can you please confirm if this is still true, that it is not possible to disable HTTP in Solution Manager system?

Hi ,

Yes, as the KBA 2952317 mentioned, from the Solution Manager Configuration perspective, please enable the HTTP protocol on the solution manager ABAP side. You can redirect the HTTP protocol to the HTTPS protocol due to security concerns.

If you still want to disable the HTTP protocol through some other methods but encounter errors when running the SICF service, you can contact BC-MID-ICF.
