Is it possible to deactivate the Fiori tiles if backends are down?

I would create a Fiori Launchpad Plugin for this requirement. Inside the plugin, make a call to the backend. If you receive an error (500 error), then show a (big) pop-up on the Fiori Launchpad disabling tiles in the background.

You can capture the error from backend RFC and populate in some UI5 page.
