Direct insert of entries into CDS while creating new PO or contract in ABAP cloud

Hi,

While searching for purchase order creation through ABAP cloud, I came across a blog https://developers.sap.com/tutorials/abap-s4hanacloud-procurement-purchasereq-contract.html . 

In this blog, PO is created directly using Purchaseorder entity rather than BAPI or using any API service.  Am just wondering if this can take care of changelogs and triggering of workflows like BAPIs.

that is BO, not simple cds
