Dimension Description Text Options

Hi All,

I import Dimension properties from BW for Dimension ID and Description. Example company code and hierarchies:

Dimension ID      Description           H1

1000                   Company1001      North America

North America    North America

In the Stories, I would like to have an alternate description like NA. Is there a solution how to achieved this?

The example above is just one company code, I have hundreds and different hierarchies values. Change it manually is not an option.

You can create a propperty as alternative description, and then in your story table, you can show this description as a separate column next to your dimension ID.

I thought about it but then I could not hide the original ID/Description of the dimension in a table. Is there a way to do that?

Maybe you just try use this dimension property as dimension in table axis instead of the dimension itself.
