Diagnostics Agent flapping (continuously restarting)

Dear Experts,

I alsready have several occasions when the Solution Manager Diagnostics Agent is flapping and I am unable to solve this. I have checked all possible agent logs and there is NO error! The only thing I see is that it suddenly says: Exit hook called and thats it 😞

Yes, the file smdagentgroup.properties is missing, but even after I copy it as advised in SAP note 2297758, the problem is NOT fixed and the agent keeps flapping 😞

For now, the only solution I could find is to completely uninstall the agent and then reinstall it. However I prefer to know the reason for this behaviour and to know the steps how it can be fixed.

Come on, one and a half months and not a single answer ?? Hard to believe that nobody knows the solution 😞 This is very very disappointing 😞
