hi there
I am urgently seeking a developer familiar with Android 3.x and Sybase SQL Anyhwere and Ultralite.
The project requires Android 3.2+ based handhelds/tablets (Samsung Note, Tablet 7) to capture photos, scan some barcode, allow drawing of a signature right on the screen (like UPS etc.), collect GPS data and manual data input. The application/data collection on the Android must be able to work online and also offline. It either must sync with a SA12 automatically when in reach and/or manually on demand in both ways.
As I have understood, Sybase offers now some support for Android with UltraLite?
We therefore have the development of a simple Android App to gather the manual data input into the local SA Ultralite and the sync to and from SA12.
The project is developed in Switzerland, near Zurich and South Africa, near George. There is no need for the developer to be there but it could help.
If you want to apply, please contact me and provide some details about former projects and your charge per hour.

Yes, you can develop applications for Android using UltraLite. You use the UltraLiteJ API which provides you with a Java API to access the UltraLite C/C++ runtime. A tutorial is available in the online docs.
Have you considered contacting Sybase Professional services? I forwarded your question to them. Good luck and let us know of your success!
