Derive Profit center dimension based on Business Unit and Entity dimension combination

Hi Team,

I have a requirement where the transaction data is saved with Profit Center as unassigned. Using the logic, we need to derive the Profit center based on Business Unit and Entity combination. Below is the example for the transaction data:

There will be a mapping file as below which provides the Profit center based on Business Unit and Entity combination

Above mapping cannot be maintained as attributes of any dimension as we need to derive based on the combination and one entity can have multiple profit centers or one business unit can have multiple Profit centers.

Not sure if this will work but you can try

pranavvyas01As its one to many relationship the only way you can maintain this is through transaction data tagging. So the mapping file has to be used to post a value of 1 at some specific data intersection using a Stat account. Use this data intersection to create the final data records in a Data Action.

I will try to create an example and update if i could make it work.

Yes, it does work with that option. I was thinking if there is any other option explored by experts which can be made use of.
