Hi everyone,
I am trying to follow document How To Customize BW Web Logon Screens and Functions.
It refers to right clicking on default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap and clicking on new sub-element but when I do this I get the error message 'No authorization to change/delete virtual host/system service'.
The SU53 shows all authorisations successful and doing an authorisations trace does not show any errors.
Can anyone offer any assistance?
Gary
Hi Sebastian,
I thought that was the case but this shouldn't be in the documentation or oss notes then it is a bit misleading.
In the How to documenets supplied by SAP have a look at How To.... Customize BW Web Logon Screens And Functions created by SAP Labs 2004 on page 8.
Also SAP note 853586 and a few others refers to creating a new subelement within this folder. See excerpt below.
Solution
These MIMEs objects has to be accessed from the correct public folder. So the why thse files are accessed is need to be changed.
For this some manual steps has to be performed and apply the attached correction instructions.
Manual Steps to be performed:
A.Create two new services in the ICF Tree
1.Goto transaction SICF
2.Open the following folders in the tree default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap
3.Right click on the folder sap and create New sub-Element
4.In the popup enter name of service as 'crm_bsp_frame' and select type of service as 'Reference to an existing service'.
5. Press ENTER.

Hi Gary ,
the elements in default_host/sap/public/... are reserved for system services delivered by SAP (can be recognized by the special icon). In path default_host/sap/bc/sap/... or default_host/sap/bw/... you are allowed to create new subelements.
Where can you find the information to create a subelement at th is place?
Regards,
Sebastian
