Debugging transfer and update rules

Can any one please let me know where to debugg the transfer and update rules for checking the performance of transfer and update rules.

Hi Raju,

You can set break points in the "generated program" of both the transfer rules and update rules and debug them.

Alternatively you can write a simple code in the start routine of transfer/update rules and create a infinite loop. When you execute the load the processor would be in the infinite loop. Now go to SM50 -> select the generated program -> GP***** -> Program(from menu option) you could go and debug it after coming out of the infinite loop.

Another option,For update rules you could use the simulate option to debug if you use the PSA method as the transfer method.

The best option is to use the Simulate update option for DataPackages in the Details tab of monitor. Check Debug Transfer and Update rule options.

The advantage of using this option is you can debug even in Production without doing any code changes (i.e. hardcoded break-points).

please search this form before postin.. there are lot of discussions on this issue.

to be simple. if the data is in PSA you can go to monitor and then in the details tab you can click on simulate update there you can select the option for debug UR and TR.
