database connection error

I am installing Sap netweaver 7 and during installation time whne it reaches till the database creation state it give db_connection error.

Hi wa khan,

Check the logm file sapinst.log for error information.

At commnd prompt execute the command

r3trans -d

it will generate a log file trans.log check this for problem with the connection.

Hi Khan,

Have u installed oracle.

If so check the Database Services arethey started or not.If they are not started ,start them manually and try once again.
