data sources not found

hai gurus

one more issue Pls.in the production server when i am replicating the datsources i could find datasources being replicated down on the status bar but i couldnt find any datasources under the source system .

PLs let me know what i am missing.

Check in table RSOLTPSOURCE in BW.

thanks for your reply .sorry for getting back late . i check the table u have suggested. there the application component is NODESNOTCONNECTED. i think i have to transport application components .

When you activate the application component hierarchy in DEV through transaction RSA9, a transport should have been created.

If you can't find it, run the transaction RSA9 and save it in a transport. However, with this changes to applicatoin component hierarchy, if any, will be overwritten. If you do not want to do that, then try to change the TADIR entry for APCO_MERGED and transport it.

However, this should not impact your working. The datasource will still get replicated to BW and you can work.

Hi Ravindra,

RSA9 will help you to transport the application component hierarchy within the R/3 system. To pull this appl. component hierarchy into BW do the following:

RSA1 > Source Systems > double click your Source System > On the right hand side of the window where you normally see the data source, on the top there is a button after the Refresh that says Reload Tree. Click that to bring in the application component hierarchy.

Can you check in the corresponding source system in RSA6 to see if the proper application component hierarchy is maintained...

RSA6 transaction in R/3 PRoduction is not maintaining the Application components.

So what you would need to do is, using tarnsaction RSA9 (as suggested by Aneesh), first collect the Appl Comp Hier in your R/3 dev system and transport it to the R/3 Q and R/3 Prod system, and then use the method I described to pull it into BW. Does the Appl Comp Hier in RSA6 in R/3 Dev look okay?

one more question i run the rsa9 tranc in R/3 Dev. but it didnt ask any request how can i know what request i have to transport .

and Application Component Hier in RSA6 in R/3 Dev are ok.

May be you have already assigned a request for this. Check your requests in SE09. If you cannot make it out, then you may have to use SE03> Search for Objects in Requests > You would need to look for entry R3TR DSAA APCO_MERGED.

Ravindra,

Search for the entry for APCO_MERGED in TADIR. Dev class for this would be $TMP. Go to SM31 and edit table TADIR. Change the dev class to a transportable dev class. This will put it into a transport.
