1. Open Central Management Console
2. Click Data Services
3. A list of the repositories will show
4. Scroll to the left or dim the columns size to view Connection Status column.

Or

1. Open Data Services Management Console
2. Click Administrator
3. The repositories status will be indicated as an icon.
