Hi Experts,
I have installed the DataServices Designer 12.2.0.0 in my Windows 7 Premium 64 bits. When I starts the DS Designer nothing happens, but in the task manager of Windows 7, I can look for the process *AL_Designer.exe *32 )running
Any idea ?

Rodrigo Silveira

Data Services, and it's predecessors Data Integrator/Data Quality, current customer releases don't support Designer on Windows 7 (x86 or x64). Windows 7 isn't scheduled to be supported on Data Services Designer until the next major release (Data Services XI 4.0). This new release is currently in Ramp-Up and not due to be in general customer release until well into 2011. The Ramp-Up project has been named EIM Aurora (if your curious).

This happened at one of our client's environment also. It seems that version of Data Services has something to do with Secured Central Repository issue.
What happens is when you enable Secured Central Repository, it asks for the credentials during the login in a window, this window is hiding because of some issue. If you want to test just disable the Central repository Login and try it to test it.
Regards.
Santosh.

Sometimes the DS Designer window does not appear in the taskbar after opening the program.
If you press atl+tab, it should bring it up.

Rodrigo,
Check to see if your video vard is configured for dual monitors. If it is, and you only have one monitor, the Designer window may be on the dual display. This URL might also be helpful:
