Data integration of SAC with Workday (Non - SAP Product)

Hi Members,

I have a scenario here in SAC, I am using Odata services to connect my SAC to Workday. I am able to connect with Workaday data using all required fields ( here authorization type is "OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code") through new connection and when I am filling all details it is generation new tab & ask for Workday credential & showing me all the reports for which I am authorized however not creating a connection name so every time I would have to choose option " create a new connection" in SAC & need to fill all the details to get access of Worday.

Please help me if I am missing anything here or if u have created a Odata connection with any Non SAP product & facing the same issue & resolved it.

Hi Pooja,

I would expect that you can follow the workflow to create a new model and then select the existing connection OData connection to Workday. Is that not available?

Can you add a couple screenshots of the workflow you follow?

Hi Pooja,

I'm not sure if Workday supports OData! It seems Workday supports SOAP (WSDL) but not OData. Check: Workday Community SOAP API Reference and SOAP is not available among supported SAP Analytics Cloud Data Connections!

It seems there are third-party tools that help for generating OData Services for Workday: CData, workato, automate.io , etc.

HI Martijn,

Here, first I am trying to establish a connection with Workday so I am going directly to "Connections" tab & then "add connection" icon.

I guess I have some problem with the tenant URL so let me try with other tenant as well. Will get back to you if i get any issue.
