Data Extraction is only possible if the view is C1 released [Analytics]

I am trying to enable extraction possible on a master data CDS. So I took the master data view and slapped the following annotations

@VDM.viewType: #BASIC

@Analytics:{

dataCategory: #DIMENSION,

dataExtraction.enabled: true

}

Once I activate I get a warning saying 'Data extraction is only possible if the view is C1 released [Analytics] - what does it mean? Can I not make any object (Existing Master Data CDS) as data enabled, if it is not previously enabled? If it cannot be done how else can this be achieved.
