We have a requirement where the number format does not match that of our locale. While this can (sort of) be achieved in each tool, we would prefer to solve this at the BI Platform level so that users performing self-service reporting (WebI, Lumira Discovery) can achieve the same results as developers (WebI, Lumira Designer, Crystal) when it comes to the number formatting.
The language is always English. All of these locales have a number format that includes a comma "," as the thousand separator and a period "." as the radix (decimal).

Our requirement is to change the thousand separator to a space " ".

If you switch to the French locale you will achieve the number formatting, but a lot of functionality on the platform then changes to French and is not suitable for use for our user base.
This is where we were hoping there was a way to define a custom locale of some sorts or modify a formatter function on the platform so that we can keep the language as English, but adjust the number formatting to achieve the desired result.
