Custom attributes for application in Developer Portal - APIM

Hi,

I noticed that I can assign custom attributes to an application in the developer portal. Does anyone know if the ability to add custom attributes can be restricted to certain roles e.g. Administrators. Or is this feature usable by anyone with access to the developer portal? (I'm currently unable to test myself directly)

Only you as Admin can add / change these custom attributes. We're using them to identify the related territory / country, the application belongs to. This value will be read within the policy and restrict something on APIM

Hi Logan,

Custom Attributes can be applied at both the Product and Application level.

Custom Attributes on Product level are only able to be added by API Portal Administrators, and will effect all APIs under that Product.

For each application the custom attributes will apply only to that application created by the onboarded developer. Developers will have the ability to add custom attributes to their own application (and will not effect applications created by other developers using the same product).

Administrators are able to create applications "on behalf of" other developers, and include custom attributes for that person. Only administrators have this ability.
