Cumulated key figures divide

Hello,

I made 2 cumulated key figures with query designer 7.X. When i divide this 2 cumulated key figures the result is the divide of the 2 base key figures and not the cumulated ones.

Ex:
day	kf1	kf2	cumulated kf1	cumulated kf2 cum kf1/cum kf2
1	2	1	2 1 2
2	3	2	5 3 1,5
3	7	10 12 13 0,7
4	10	11	22 24 0,909090909

Can anyone help me with this?

Regards,

Hi,

I had a simmilar issue.

I'm not sure but I think cumulated KF are just for displying porpuses, for that reason when you use it in a formula It doesn't show the result you are expecting.

Regards.

Hi,

check this consulting note:

Interesting facts about the OLAP Processor/Analytic Engine

SAP Note Number: [1151957|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes/sdn_oss_bw_bex/~form/handler%7b5f4150503d3030323030363832353030303030303031393732265f4556454e543d444953504c4159265f4e4e554d3d31313531393537%7d]

Symptom

"Calculated key figures (CKF) and formulas do not display the expected values. In particular, confusing results occur when you use features like 'cumulate', exception aggregation, and 'calculate result as...'. E.g. you face the following problems:

Incorrect values seem to appear in the Results Rows (yellow cells) for CKFs or formulas.

values calculated by using 'Calculate Results as....' are not taken correctly by other formulas

Exception Aggregation for formulas does not calculate the expected results"

Is not possible to make subsequent calculations on a cumulated key figure, from sap note Note 460255 - Information about aggregation, cumulation, results row :

Cumulations (normalizations) for key figures (which can be set in the query definition for the properties of a key figure, for example) behave in the same way. The original value determined by the OLAP processor is displayed summed and cumulated (normalized). However, not the changed value that is displayed is used for subsequent calculations, but the original value (not cumulated/not normalized).

This is due to the fact that a formula (in a structure or a calculated key figure) is processed at different times than the 'Calculate results/ Single values as' funtion.

First, the system executes all formulas and then the 'Calculate results/

Single values' function. This means, that a formula can no longer access

such values.

try 'Add Local Formula' in Bex Analyzer
