CTS+ Netweaver 7.4 Import / Deployment fails on Java Stack

Hello,

we've got a systemlandscape with several BI systems. Each has an ABAP and an correspondig JAVA system.

The systems were on Basis NW 7.02 and we used CTS+ for Portal Content without problems.

In the last weeks we did an upgrade for some of the systems and now we get problems with CTS+ import in the testsystem.

We could create in our development portal a transport package and put portal content into the package.

When we export the package, a transport request is created and after release the transport, it is put to the queue of the test system. Everyfine until here.

For the test system an automatically import is scheduled.

The import of the transport now crashes with RC =12.

It stops in step "Deployment" with this message:

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Password must not be null

End deployment (2015-04-16 11:25:53.0772 +2:00)

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Password must not be null

We refreshed several times the SDM password for this system via stms.

We also deleted the system from TMS configuration and generated it new.

Everytime same error.

Does anybody has an idea?

Hello Billy,

thank you for your support.

We opened an incident at SAP and get now the solution.

We had to implement 3 notes:

0002134632   Die Deployment-Kennwörter für Deploy-Controller oder SDM nicht gefunden

0002135677   Kennwortstatus SDM/Deploycontroller Kennwörter initial, obwohl Kennwort gesetzt

0002145513   TMS Alert: TMS_CFG_DI_UPDATE_ONFIG_CACHE: RTSSystem.UserCredential war "null"

And after set the password for DC user again.

Now it works fine.

It was a problem because of the upgrade and the change of CTS+ transport configuration
