When I export a report to PDF, the runtime engine imposes additional 1/2" margin on all 4 sides from what I have set in my report. For example, I have my left and right margins set to 0.25". When I print directly to paper, it comes out perfectly. However, when I export to PDF, the runtime engine increases the left and right margins to 0.50". I changed my default left and right margins to 0.50", and the exported PDF comes out at 0.75" margins. I don't see where there is an option to suppress or change this setting. Is there a way to make the PDF margins equal to the report margins without adding anything additional?

I solved this problem by setting in the report Design -> Page Setup
- [X] No Printer
- [X] Dissociate Formatting Page Size and Printer Paper Size

Crystal Reports XI R2 uses the default printer to set the report margin. Even if you select no printer it still uses the default printers margins. This has been fixed and should be included with Service Pack 6 due out soon. Check the download site often.
In the mean time use a printer that allows you to set the margins that work for you

Hi,
Refer to link if might give you an idea, [Click here|http://www.crystalreportsbook.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=3]
What version of crystal report are you using? Are you using VB.net?

Thanks for the post.
The link has to do with font size. There is a registry setting to force larger fonts and I already have that set. However, that is not the problem as the fonts come out the correct size.
The problem has to do with the imposed margins when exporting to PDF.
I use CR XI build version 11.0.0.895
And no, I don't use VB.net. Our system is very simply. We are using CR to generate invoices and purchase orders from our accouting software (Microsoft Great Plains). Not really doing any higher ends reports, just very very basic.

Thanks! Got everything updated to XI-R2 with SP4 & SP5 installed. Build version is now 11.5.11.1470.
However, the same problem still exists. No matter what I set my page margins to, when it exports to PDF, the margins are increased by 1/2" all the way around.
It is frustrating given there does not seem to be any way to set the page margin variables for exporting.
