Crystal reports: group header not showing on every page

I have a report that isn't showing the group header on every page like if the data is extended beyond one page, the group header does not show up on the top of the report. I checked the box for Repeat Group Header On Each Page, as well as tried the New Page Before and New Page After options - still not showing the group header on every page.

What can I do to ensure that the group header shows on each page, regardless of the data size?

Screenshots of the report are below.

I finally figured it out! The whole steps to fix this issue were:

1) Create this formula with the code:

whilereadingrecords;

""

2) Go to Group Expert > Move this formula to the pane on the right so that a group is created on this formula.

If there are any other groups in the list, move this formula to the top. This won't affect the other groups.

While in the same window, select the Group > Options > Options tab > Check 'Repeat Group Header on each page' option.

3) Insert a Group Header 1b section. To do this, go to the Design tab > Right-click the gray area beside Group Header 1 and select Insert Section Below.

4) Then move the Crosstab to this Group Header 1b section.

5) Move the text objects (Row and Column Headers) to Group Header 1a section.

I have converted the crosstab in the group header 1 to a subreport and after I did that, the report started showing the header text in the group header 2. What I am trying to figure out now is to make it so that the header text in the subreport is displayed on every page, should the crosstab extends beyond the first page. I have been looking for ways to make the header text to display on every page of the subreport, but I'm not able to find good tips.

Any suggestion?

Thanks!

Hi Kenshin,

Are there any 'detail section' rows that print on the page where the Header does not show up?

Yes, and no.

Yes, there are details rows for the Group Header #2 that the Header does not show after the first page until the next page break.

No, there isn't any details section for the Group Header #1 that the Header does not show after the first page because the Group Header #1 contains a cross-tab table.

Could you check if Group Header 2 has any conditional suppression formulas?

Nope, there isn't any.

Speaking of suppression, and this may sound crazy, but if I suppress the Group Header 1, then the header text for the Group Header 2 shows up on every page.

Another thing I tried is that I inserted the cross-tab portion into the report as a subreport. Then the header text in the Group Header 2 was on each page! The header text of the cross-tab, which now served as a subreport, however, disappeared after the first page. So it was like, it fixed one part, but the other part still lingers...

Does the group contain a subreport or just other groups and details in a main report? What version of Crystal are you using?

The report does not contain a subreport; it has two groups and details in the main report. I'm using a 14.2.2 version.
