Good afternoon all:
We are attempting to use a newer version of Crystal (Crystal 2020) and have the reports made available on an environment that ONLY accepts 32-bit connections.
Is there ANY way to get CR2020 to accept 32bit connections, so that created reports are "compatible"?
Help very much appreciated.
If CR2020 does NOT allow any way to accept 32-but connections, which would be the last version of Crystal Report allowing it?
Thank you very much.

Hello,
CR 2020 is a 64 bit application, it is the way of the future, 32 bit applications are going away. All Mother Boards support 64 bit Operating systems so no reason to continue supporting 32 bit applications or dependencies, time to ask them to upgrade their data sources to use 64 bit Clients.
So the answer is NO, no way to get CR 2020 to access 32 bit data sources.
Go back to this link and get CR 2016, it's still 32 bit, you can still use CR 2020 to design reports and then open them in CR 2016 and resave them to be able to use the 32 bit data source.

Depending on how you are connecting, for example if you are using an ODBC data source all you need to do is create the same DSN Name in both 32 and 64 bit ODBC admin tool. Does require a 32/64 bit Client to support both.
CR will use the appropriate one.
