CRRedist*.msi

I have a software package I am trying to install and I get the following message:

An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime.

Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient or the Crystal Reports runtime is not installed correctly

Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Repoorts runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required. Please go to http://www.businessobjects.com/support for more information.

I am running Windows 7 64-bit so I assume I need x64. Tell me what to do, please.

Hi Walt,

Please search, this question has been answer 100's of time.

There are Wiki's and Kbase articles and unlike you no one knows what version of CR and VS you are using.

I have done this search, and there are 100s of responses. They all say "solved". But I have yet to find the answer to the very simple question everyone keeps asking - "where is the **bleep** CRRedist.msi file?". The fact that hundred of people have kept asking for the last 12+ years should tell you something. I can't find it. And the many many many things I've read have many many broken links. So - where is this file?
