Cross xsa application (node modules) access

I am trying to build cross application access, or there are two projects deployed on the same XSA space. 

The app A has db, node and ui modules and in the node, it has web service which reads or updates some data from the db module. 

There is another app B which has only node and ui modules. (no db modules and I don't want to create db module just to be able to solve my problem with creating cross container access, because I would have to create whole HDI container just for reading one record from remote table).

Using the Enable Applications to Perform Tasks with the Authority of Other Applications I tried to build the cross app access, but still no success.

Any ideas or suggestions are very welcome.

a few years ago, i was trying the same thing, no luck, ended up binding all the app to the same uaa as workaround.
